Wingshadows Hacienda is a purely Linkery farm: they grow whatever they judge to be best at their property, and every week they bring us their entire harvest. It’s up to us to figure out what to do with it. The quality is always spectacular, but boy does it get it us in touch with the season.
It’s summer squash season in Warner Springs, yo.
Seriously, this week everything’s coming up squash at the Linkery. Even after our friends at Starlite and Ritual Tavern took some for their kitchens, we still have a boatload of summer squash in all sorts of varieties. The good news is, it’s delicious.
Among the squashtastic dishes you’ll find on our menu right now: Beer-battered summer squash nuggets (seriously awesome); grilled summer squash in ginger-soy sauce (stepping in for green beans for a bit); stuffed squash; veggie lasagna made with summer squash; and summer squash and ginger soup.
Come in and get squashy, you won’t regret it.
