Hot Dog!

Given that we’re finally into the heart of summer, we’ve been getting so many requests lately for some good ol’ American hot dogs. Made with grass-fed California beef, of course. So, we whipped up some dogs and we’re serving them two to a plate, covered with a pinquito bean & grass-fed beef chili, and shredded Jersey cheddar from Spring Hill Cheese Co., all served over our house baked semolina roll. For those keeping score at home, that’s Central Valley beef, Central Coast beans, Sonoma County cheddar, and San Diego buns.
And what better to go with them dogs than a cold, light, refreshing Berliner Weiss from The Bruery up in Orange County? For those of you who are unfamiliar, a Berliner Weiss is a super-light, low abv wheat beer, slightly soured. We’re doing it traditional-stizz tonight and offering ‘em “mit schuss”, which means with a shot of lemon syrup, or zitronensirup, as zee Germans say.
