Now and Future Cask Festival: Real Ale and Local Wine
Posted by Jay on Thursday, 4 December 2008
Since we moved, we’ve intended to greatly expand our offering of cask-conditioned ale. Well, thanks to a lot of work by Michael and by Lee Chase, we will be celebrating Friday’s 75th Anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition by debuting our new cask setup of, yep, 4 or 5 handles of real ale all the time. We are stoked.
Our inaugural cask super-lineup is:
1. Marin IPA
2. Magnolia Cole Porter
3. Moylan’s Tipperary Pale Ale
4. Rock Bottom Black Seal Espresso Stout
Yes, that’s three casks from the Bay Area, it just happened to be what we have right now and we’re stoked it worked out that way.
Also, we will be debuting our local cask wine — which we expect to become our house wine — Friday as well. This is Linkery Cuvee #1, made in Carlsbad by Christopher Cameron Vineyards of fruit from their vineyard in Dry Creek, Sonoma. We blended it with the winemaker and think it is a great match with Linkery food. We’ll be serving it from a cask, glass and carafe pours. Come check it out!
