Did you know that this month marks the Linkery’s 4th anniversary? We can’t believe it either. It seems like just yesterday that we were back at the old place, doing all the things that we were doing, er, just yesterday. Anyway.
But every year, it’s a cause for celebration. (We’re cheap like that.)
This year, we decided to give ourselves a second shot at one of the more comic disasters from our opening months in 2005, the night we made handmade California burritos. We sent out an email, and response was overwhelming. We ran out of everything, I think at some point we may have just served someone a pack of tortillas and a whole avocado.
So, much like your favorite Robin Williams – Kurt Russell movie, we’re reliving our glory days and giving ourselves a chance at redemption at the same time.
The anniversary dish: Real California burritos.
Grass-fed California-raised carne asada, organic Ojai avocados, kettle-fried potatoes from Weiser farms, salsa made from products from our farms, cheese from Petaluma, delfina cilantro from Wingshadows Hacienda, all wrapped in a house made whole-wheat tortilla.
Served with a selection of Green Flash beers whipped up for the occasion by our good friend Chuck Silva.
More details to come.
Looks great. I’m bringing people from a progressive lawyers’ happy hour to help me celebrate the birth of the Linkery.
