Pigs Flying Brunch at the Link on November 1st

We did brunch right when we opened, and then changed our minds. Oer the last four-plus years I probably get several requests a month for us to do brunch again. To which my response is that we’ll do it when pigs fly and Hell freezes over.

Well, on Sunday, November 1, Porky gets his wings and the Devil dons his ice skates: for one day only we are going to do a Sunday brunch, starting at 9am and going until 3pm, when we start getting ready for dinner.

We know not a lot of people go out to restaurants on Halloween nite, and we wanted to give everyone here a chance to work that weekend, and we figured you’d be hungover from Halloween and wanting brunch, so it worked out just this once. But let’s just say I lost a bet.

Among the dishes we’ve been chatting about: Link Benedict; biscuits and gravy; local fish lox; breakfast burritos; Hangtown Fry. The boys are already planning on baking both our own bagels and our own English muffins.

Oh, and we’ll surely have happy hour specials for anyone still in costume from the night before.

OK, mark your calendars. Remember, it’ll be at least five years before we do this again. Actually it’ll be never. Although it seems I’ve said that before. But this time I mean it.
