Super Sized Smokehouse Sundays

Between our Hell Freezes Over Brunch and the Green Flash Smoke Out, the last two Sundays at the Link have been off the chain. We’ve had a blast with so many people here, enjoying the food and drinks, watching football, eating oysters, and generally being celebratory and joyous. Plus it’s fun to be busy all day, it makes work a lot of fun.

It’s not practical for us to exactly repeat either event every week, but I think we’ve learned some ways to really step Sundays here up a notch. So, starting November 22nd we’re supersizing Smokehouse Sunday…Smokecastle Sunday, if you will.

* Starting November 22nd, we’re expanding our Sunday hours to open at 10am (Labor Day to mid-January) or 11am (January to Labor Day). We’ll still close at 11:30pm every nite.

* Sundays until 3pm we’ll offer micheladas and Linkery Bloody Marys (with wild Mexican shrimp). Our Sunday menu will also feature a small and changing selection of brunch-y dishes in addition to our regular fare. This menu will be available until 3pm, as well.

* We’ll be highlighting special cask beers on Sundays.

* Smokehouse platters will be available from noon straight through until closing. We’ll also offer dishes from the smoke pit that are Linkery takes on traditional bar or street food on Sundays, such as smoked hot wings, barbacoa tacos, and so on. Good stuff to eat while watching football or hanging out with your friends all afternoon.

We’re not a proper sports bar, but we’ll have football on for those who like to watch it. We’re not a proper brunch place, but we’ll have a few things on the menu that scratch that itch. We are a place that is passionate about great food, handcrafted beer and wine, and the joy of sharing them with friends and neighbors, and we’ll have those things in spades.

Thanks to Josh and/or Andy from SDBW for taking this cool photo at the Green Flash Smoke Out

Remember it starts this Sunday, the 22nd.
