Tomorrow is Reuben Tuesday. During which we serve our Reuben, which has become a big hit.
Anymore, I am calling our Reuben the most hand-made Reuben in America. It might not be true, but it’s gotta be close. The Reuben comprises:
* Grass-fed beef brisket from Tallgrass Beef, raised on pasture in Northern California, cured into corned beef here at the Linkery
* House made sauerkraut
* House baked beer bread
* Russian dressing made here from scratch, including house made pickles (which might technically make it not Russian dressing, but the Russian is not the issue here, dude)
* Gouda cheese from Winchester Cheese Company, up the street in the IE.
Reubens will be available starting 5:30pm Tuesday. The last few batches, we’ve been able to make enough corned beef so that we don’t run out on Tuesday, but after that it’s hard to know how long they’ll last.
Dear Jay,
Thanks for the heads-up on the Reuben Tuesday! I was wondering until when will you have the RT available?
Thanks,
selene
How much will they cost? I love the Linkerie but very few meals are affordable.
Hi Selene, the Reubens will be available starting at 5:30pm today, until they run out, which I estimate will be sometime after Wednesday. David, the dish will be $14.50. I hope that’s an affordable dinner for you, we do our best to keep our prices moderate even when we’re serving expensive stuff like pastured meat.
I have found that the Linkery’s prices are about as fair as they get; and anymore, you get what you pay for. The ambience, service, exceptional food and beverage quality are well worth every cent. I’m thrilled that we are finally getting some outstanding food places in North Park – places that bring a sense of occasion to dining out in our own neighborhood.
Awesome, Geoff, it’s good to hear that what we’re doing is working for you. Thanks for being part of it!
I’ll be driving back down special from Anaheim just to partake. I can’t wait!
