Apple Pie with Almonds Recipe

Ingredients 12 pieces

pastry:

  • Butter, room-temperature: 125 g
  • Powdered sugar: 1½ dl
  • Flour: 3 dl
  • Baking Soda: 3 tsp
    Vanilla sugar:  1 tbsp

Filling:

  • Tart apples: 3
  • Almonds: 1 dl
  • Supporting cardamom kernels: 1 tsp
  • Egg white: 1
  • Vanilla sauce: 5 DL

How to prepare

  • Chop or mix together all the ingredients for the dough quickly. Leave to rest for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Set oven to 175 °. Push ⅔ of dough into a mold with a removable edge, about 24 cm in diameter.
  • Roll out the rest of the dough into a round lid, about 24 cm in diameter. Tear the apples and chop the almond, put in a bowl. Add cardamom and egg white, stir.
  • Distribute the filling in the pie shell and cover with the pie lid.
  • Chop the cake and bake in the middle of the oven for about 30 min.
  • Let the cake cool and serve with the custard.
