Set the oven to 175 degrees.
Grease a spring form (26 cm) with olive oil with lemon flavor and bread with breadcrumbs.
Whisk sugar and eggs fluffy. Mix down oil, poppy seeds and ricotta. Stir to an even batter – feel free to use the whisk.
Mix flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. Turn to egg mixture.
Pour the batter into the mold and bake in the bottom of the oven for about 50 minutes. Check the consistency of the cake with a stick or toothpick after 30-40 minutes.
