Ingredients
- 250 g wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 100 g of room-warm butter
- 300 g of powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
- 2.5 dl milk
- 1 tbsp red caramel color (or 3 tbsp beets)
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate
How to prepare
- Set the oven to 175 degrees.
- Lubricate a mold.
- Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl, set aside.
- Whisk butter and sugar. Crack in the eggs and whisk carefully. Whisk in vanilla sugar.
- Mix in the film milk, paint and flour mixture.
- Mix the vinegar and bicarbonate separately, let it mill and then quickly mix it into the batter. Pour the batter into the greased mold.
- Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when you put the cake in the middle.
- Let cool.
- Powder over icing sugar on serving.
