Pink Velvet Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 100 g of room-warm butter
  • 300 g of powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
  • 2.5 dl milk
  • 1 tbsp red caramel color (or 3 tbsp beets)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate

How to prepare

  • Set the oven to 175 degrees.
  • Lubricate a mold.
  • Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl, set aside.
  • Whisk butter and sugar. Crack in the eggs and whisk carefully. Whisk in vanilla sugar.
  • Mix in the film milk, paint and flour mixture.
  • Mix the vinegar and bicarbonate separately, let it mill and then quickly mix it into the batter. Pour the batter into the greased mold.
  • Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when you put the cake in the middle.
  • Let cool.
  • Powder over icing sugar on serving.
