There are several smart ways to simplify for yourself in the kitchen. With these simple tips you can save time and simply make cooking easier.

1. Easily remove the seeds

To quickly and easily remove seeds from, for example, pumpkin, cucumber and zucchini, you can use a glass scoop.

2. Peel the eggs faster

Pour some vinegar into the water that the eggs are cooked in to make it easier to peel the eggs when cooked.

3. Peel citrus fruits easier

If you think citrus fruits can be complicated to scale, there is an easy way to go. Put the fruit in the microwave for 20 seconds and then it will be much easier!

4. Prevent the pasta foam from boiling over

If you do not have the opportunity to watch the pasta water all the time, you can put a wooden spoon over the saucepan. This prevents the white foam from boiling over the edge.

5. Make perfect eggs

Crack the eggs in the frying pan but instead of having in grease you pour in some water. Then place the frying pan on the stove and fry as usual. That way you get perfect eggs with liquid yolk!

6. Heat leftovers

If you are going to heat pizza or other baked dishes in the microwave, you can put a glass of water next to it. The liquid prevents the pizza from drying out too much and instead retains its crispness.

7. Prepare a whole bird

When frying or grilling a whole bird, you are right to place it with your chest closest to the heat source. The reason is that the breast contains most meat, which means that it needs more heat to be done at the same time as the remaining parts.

8. Avoid the onion tears

If you plan to fry the onion, you can put it in the freezer about 30 minutes before slicing. But – avoid this if you intend to have raw onion in salad, because the cold temperature destroys the crispness of the onion.

9. Grate cheese without scrap

Cheese can also benefit from the freezer. If you put the cheese in the freezer for 30 minutes, it is easier to tear it and the grater becomes much less sticky than if it is room-temperature or refrigerator-shell.

10. Remove excess fat easily

Sometimes when cooking, the end result can be unexpected fat. It can destroy both the taste and the texture. If you want to remove some of the fat, you can do so simply by taking a few ice cubes in a paper towel and sweeping over the food. The ice acts as a magnet that attracts the dripping fat and sticks to the paper towel.

11. Get out all the lemon juice

To get as much lemon juice out of a lemon as possible, put it in the fridge for a while before putting it in the micron for 15-20 seconds. Then press! Also works for oranges.

12. Use plastic wrap as the star chefs

Most of us have at some point become mad at plastic wrap that refuses to give and instead becomes a long wrap of rolled-up plastic film. Store the plastic wrap in the fridge instead, just like the star chefs. Cold plastic wrap is easier to handle and eliminates irritation
