Classic Indian stew, tikka masala with halloumi. Creamy halloumi stew with vegetables, beans and garam masala, served with rice. A dinner favorite that is easy to cook and suitable for both everyday and weekend!
Ingredients
- 2 carrots, grated
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tsp chiliflakes
- 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- 3 tsp garam masala
- 3 tablespoons tomato puree
- 400 g of crushed tomatoes
- 2 dl of water
- 2 cups cream cheese
- 1 vegetable broth dice
- 800 g cooked black beans, rinsed in can (gross weight)
- 1 teaspoon neutral oil
- 200 g of halloumi, diced
- 0.5 lime, pressed juice
- salt and black pepper
How to prepare
- Fry carrots, onions, garlic and chilli flakes in oil in a frying pan until the onion is soft. Add ginger, garam masala and tomato puree.
- Fry for a further minute with stirring. Add crushed tomatoes, water and cream cheese, crumble the broth cubes. Let simmer for about 10 min.
- Mix the sauce if necessary. Pour in the beans.
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry the halloumi golden. Add the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Top with salted cashew nuts, coriander and lime. Serve with boiled jasmine rice.
