Lemon Curd Recipe

Divine homemade lemon curd is not so difficult to make yourself. For the recipe, you need lemons, eggs, sugar, and butter. Wonderful to serve for freshly baked bread!

Ingredients for 1 serving

  • 2 normal sized lemons
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups sugar
  • water
  • 100 g butter

How to prepare

Wash the lemons. Tear the peel finely and squeeze the juice.

  • Whisk egg yolks, eggs, and sugar for a few minutes in a bowl. Place the bowl in a water bath (saucepan with hot water) and add lemon zest and juice. Stir until the cream thickens, about 15 minutes.
  • Cut butter into pieces. Click in them while stirring until it melts. Let cool. Store in a refrigerator.
