Divine homemade lemon curd is not so difficult to make yourself. For the recipe, you need lemons, eggs, sugar, and butter. Wonderful to serve for freshly baked bread!
Ingredients for 1 serving
- 2 normal sized lemons
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 egg
- 2 cups sugar
- water
- 100 g butter
How to prepare
Wash the lemons. Tear the peel finely and squeeze the juice.
- Whisk egg yolks, eggs, and sugar for a few minutes in a bowl. Place the bowl in a water bath (saucepan with hot water) and add lemon zest and juice. Stir until the cream thickens, about 15 minutes.
- Cut butter into pieces. Click in them while stirring until it melts. Let cool. Store in a refrigerator.
