Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce Recipe

Tomato sauce:

  • 0.5 dl of olive oil
  • 1 chopped yellow onion
  • 3 chopped garlic cloves
  • 0.5 dl tomato puree
  • 800 g whole canned tomatoes, (2 cans)
  • 1 dl red wine
  • 2 teaspoons of honey or sugar
  • 0.5 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
    100 g of sugar peas
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • spaghetti:
  • 400 g of spaghetti
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 50 g of grated parmesan cheese

How to prepare

  • Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the onion for a minute. Add the rest of the ingredients to the sauce except the herbs and allow the sauce to cook until thickened, about 25 minutes. Add oregano and half of the basil.

  • Cook the pasta as directed on the package. Pour off the water and stir in olive oil.
    Mix pasta, tomato sauce, the rest of the basil and parmesan cheese.
