How to Cook Broccoli

Broccoli is really a Mediterranean plant, but because it is so hardy it can be grown in large parts of our elongated country. Broccoli has an over 2000-year-old history as a food plant, but it was not until the 1950s that it became really popular.

Ingredients 4 servings

  • 2 bouquets of broccoli
  • Sea salt

  • Fill a large pot with water. Salt properly. Put it on the highest heat.
  • Cut broccoli into smaller bouquets. You can also eat the stem, but then it should be cut into smaller pieces before cooking.
  • When the water is boiling, add broccoli. Wait until it boils and then cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour the water into a colander and serve when cooled slightly.
